Hmm. Parliamentary committee chairpersons take 19k extra vig per annum on top of their very high salaries. Who agreed to that? It's pensionable, so it adds up later. There are now parliamentary committees for practically everything and enough pork-time jobs for every member of the house (TD) to keep extra dough rolling in indefinitely. Unfortunately they are just talking shops and can't change anything because, sure what can they do, they're only parliamentary committees.
